Free Work At Home!
Question #1.
Dear Connie:
I need your help. Just signed up as a member of Katie's Hugs.
For the past six weeks, I have spent 6-8 hours a day researching work at home opportunities on the internet. To say there are millions of sites is an understatement.
Please send me one (1) data entry job that I do not have to pay for and will accept me with no strings attached.
I am a 48 year old woman who spent 25 years in the work force in administrative positions. As of now I am burnt out and at home looking for a job that I can do from home.
For your review I have attached my credentials.
Your kind assistance is greatly appreciated and I look forward to your reply.
Answer:
Thank you for your question. The biggest misconception about working online is that you can just "sign up" for a job.
Just like the outside world you need to go to a companies website and apply for a job and go through an interview process and you never pay to do this.
There are a couple of companies that do require you to pay for a background check but that is partly to make sure the applicant is serious about working. Please follow this link for a list of companies that hire for Data Entry jobs: Click Here for Data Entry at Home companies
Question #2.
I AM TRYING TO START MY WEB SITE NOW IS IT BETTER TO DO A WEBSITE PROMOTING PRODUCTS OR JUST DO BLOGS?
Answer: It depends on what you want to do. A static website can take awhile before it is picked up by the search engines. A blog is quickly picked up since you are updating on a regular basis (preferably everyday). There are also now many blog forums and communities making it easier to get traffic.
If you have the time and dedication to blog everyday I would go with a blog. After your blog has been up for 3 mos you can also start making money through places like blogitive and payperpost. Good luck!
Question #3
hi i have a question. i know that you will not make a ton of money doing online surveys. i do howver need to make alittle extra cash, especially with the cost of gas these days. i looked at your site. i came across it when i was looking to see if these surveys were scams or not and just wanted to thank you for clearing things up for me. i did join the IPSOS one, and am waiting to do a survey. i just wanted to make sure it was legit (i set up a different email accoutn for it) and what other ones are best! if you could please email me- at ********** to let me know i would be greatful thank you
Answer: All of the ones on my lists are legit including IPSO. If you want to make money with surveys you will need to sign up with all the companies on the lists and not just one or two. The more you are signed up with the better chances one of them will have a study that needs your demographics at any given time. There is an ongoing list of survey sites, focus groups and more on the forum here:
Check it everyday so you aren't missing out on money opportunities.
Question #4
Not to long ago your site had a listing for mom's who drive and they get paid by placing a car magnet on their car. I seem to have forgotten the name of the company and/or website. Can you please provide this information for me?
Answer: I believe you are referring to Miles Of Marketing at:
Question #5
I have spent the last 2 days researching just about every online opportunity I could find. Yours is the FIRST genuine site I found out of hundreds! Thank you so much for making these resources available. May the God of your understanding shower you with blessings. Warm Regards.
Answer: Thank You!
Question #6
Hello, I have been reading your site regarding getting started with free surveys and making money. I do have a question that I had not yet read about. How does the income get reported? Would it be from the market researching business for whom I am doing a survey, do they submit to the IRS for tax purposes. Or...is it up to me to do quarterly/yearly reporting of all income. Thank you. Your information has been very helpful.
Answer: You will need to contact your CPA but in general anytime you make anything over $600 with one company they will send you a 1099 to submit your taxes. There is also a section at irs.gov that covers monies earned from hobbies.
Question #7
I am a single mother of two little girls ages 6 and 2. I currently have a full time job and my mother watches my youngest, however she is getting too old to keep up and I am going to have to either get a work at home position or fork out over $200 a week for childcare. I would prefer a work at home position but I have been scammed too many times to count. What would you suggest for me? I cannot do any kind of telemarketing as I could not be on the phone. I type about 100 words per minute and my background is Accouting and Customer Service.
Answer: Call center work is the easiest to get but there are lots of other types as well. There are companies that hire for accouting work and there is also transcription and coding type work available as well. Please go to the work at home section on our message boards and look at all the different types of companies and what kind of hours they might have. Many people find that the best option is to get on with 1-3 different companies to make sure you are getting enough hours. Good luck!
Question #8
Hello, i am looking for opportunities in earning extra, small amounts. My question is this, some of your links go to sites in t he USA and don't seem to accept Aus addresses, how do you sign up for them if they wont accept the postcodes or states etc.?
Answer: Not all companies accept members from outside the US. Im not sure what type of companies you are looking for but if you go to our message board a lot of surveys will indicate right next to their name whether or not they accept members worldwide. If you are looking for something other than surveys please let me know so I can help you.
Question #9
Im looking for a home data entry position where I wouldn't have to talk to anyone. Of all the companies you have listed, which one or ones would you recommend? Realistically, how much money could I expect to make either PT or FT? Thank you for all your help
Answer: I would reccomend applying with all of them. Everyone wants to do Data Entry work so there is a lot of competition. As with any job you don't want to just apply with one company. If you can get on with more than one company you will have a better chance of making a livable income.
Question #10
I just wanted to personally thank you for your blog and information that you've put together.
I am looking for additional income through the internet, and let me tell you, for a person that is pretty positive, I'm finding this rather frustrating when I start to investigate whether or not something is 'real' or a scam.
I found your blog from scam.com
I am not a stay-at-home Mom, but I live quite a distance from any major city and am looking to supplement my massage therapy income.
Anyway, I see a lot of caring within you when I read your information and wanted to know that it is appreciated.
Answer: Thank you so much and I hope you don't give up. There are lots of ways to supplement your income and sometimes it just takes figuring out which way is best for you. I wish you lots of luck.
Question #11
Hi. I joined your message board and It now states that I have been banned. I'm not sure what I did or if its something I can correct. Could you clarify
Answer: The only reason anyone is ever banned is if they aren't following the rules and/or are blatantly spamming/advertising.
Question #12
I just paid $35 for a list of paying survey sites. It's so long that I haven't even signed up with half of them yet. Send me an email at ' ***** ' and I will copy/paste the URLs as I sign up for them so you can pass these along, too. I've already done a Google Search that turned a bunch of these up, so it's not like they're anybody's property. Oh, and I've already mand a little over $20 from survey invites from the ones I have signed up for!
Answer: Im sorry to hear you wasted your money. All of the legit research survey sites are listed here at katieshugs.com or on our message board for free. One word of advice.. the list you bought is probably full of email harvesting and offer sites. Be careful. If you do happen to run across a legit site that we don't have listed please feel free to share it on our message board. Congrats on the money you have made so far!
Question #13
Hi, I'd like to find out about advertising on your website. Could you email me. I'd also like to add a link to your site on my website.
Answer: I don't currently have an advertising program. I have a link exchange program and there are some other ways to advertise on our message board. If you can't link back but have a legit business opportunity you can post about it in the work at home with your own business section but pleaes remember there is only one rep per company allowed. Thank you!
Question #14
I am wondering if you can give me some good advice and some direction. I have been reading through your website and am happy to see what info you have put out there. It is hard to find truth these days. You make it easy. My issue is that I have been struggling for years in the food service and cannot seem to find a niche that suits me. I really do not like working for other people in the traditional sense. I have always dreamed of work at home opps etc. Is there or are there a couple you would highly recommend off the top of your head for me. I have been cooking for 7 yrs+, have an art history degree, am very personable and honest, but need to do something on my own. After much work and research I am finding that opening my own business is a lot more difficult than it seems, at least in deciding what type of service would make money. I do not want to get rich, I just want to make a decent income even if it means doing several things to do that (25-35k/yr) I have signed up for a survey site but that is not enough as you know. If you could weed out all of the other info and give me a solid lead I would greatly appreciate it, am not sure if that is what you do or are able to do but I figured I would ask. I am a male and this is my email address (since there is a lot of info geared towards "moms"). Thank you and I will keep searching either way.
Answer: It's always good to go with what you know. Have you considered writing articles on cooking or food service? Maybe a blog about the same topics? You could also start a blog or website about Art History. Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money and you can do it with the knowledge you already have to get started.

Question #15
Can you please tell me if you have any more updates on the Diciples Cross craft project? This sounds interesting to me and would love to know as much as possible befoe ordering a kit from them.
Answer: I checked into again about a month ago and things are still the same. The people who are working it are finding they enjoy it but choose to sell the crosses on their own. The only bad thing I have heard is that for some people with pain in their hands (arthritis, etc), the nails are hard to bend.
Question #16
I don't know what to do anymore. I am so tired and I have lost money trying to find just smily $300 a week home job. Is it even possible or just give up? I do really appreciate your website and I have tried looking over your blogs. I would love to do something at home, perhaps dataentry or freelance, please if you can direct me to the right ones, I would greatly appreciate it.
Answer: If you are looking specifically for a job you should probably try to get on with as many of the companies as you can. At least two or three. Most people find that there just isn't enough work to make that much money per week. You could also try freelance writing or blogging in your spare time to make up some extra money as well.
Question #17
Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know I love the site. It is very easy navigate and has great information!
Answer: Thank you!
Question #18
i want to thank you or your website. its the best. are these data entry jobs from home that are asking for money real?
Answer: They are typically selling information on how to run a campaign through affiliate sites and pay per click advertising. Others are selling information on how to do the same thing are doing (placing an ad for work at home and the "orders" are people like you looking for that information.)
Question #19
I am interested in a work from home medical transcriptionist job, and wonder if you know of any companies hiring medical transcriptionists, and where I could apply?
Question #20
Hello! Thank you for the site! I have been looking into these survey sites as a way to make a little pocket change but was curious as to how the payoff worked. If I earn enough to receive payment, do they just send a check to my home address or do I have to provide some sort of banking information for deposit of the money? Also, I have seen some that offer points you accumulate until you have enough for payment. (The one I saw was after 1000 points you get paid) How practical is it to get to 1000 points? Thanks so much for the help!!
Answer: Some will send a check automatically, others you will require that you go to the website and request money. It is usually in the form of a check or a paypal payment. It doesn't take long to get 1000 points on most sites that offer points.
